The Price Scholarship Program* began in 1997 and has evolved over the years to meet the need of the program participants and the community. This program provides a unique opportunity for recent high school graduates to complete an Associate Degree, or a Certificate Program at San Diego's City College, or transfer while gaining valuable experience through structured service learning assignments with community non-profit agencies and schools in the community of San Diego. It is an opportunity for you as a student to get something (financial assistance and support) and give something in return (your service contribution for the enhancement of the community of San Diego).

The Price Scholarship Program not only provides financial assistance for you as a student here at City College, but provides seminars, individual counseling, mentoring, a program retreat, social events, peer support, job skills, and valuable experience working in strongly established community organizations with unique opportunities to contribute to the building of the San Diego community. The program is rigorous and will challenge you in ways that will increase your skill level, self-confidence, your competence, and your character. Participating in this program will assist you as a student in furthering your educational, professional and personal goals and development.

The Price Scholarship Program is an exciting opportunity with a committed and caring staff committed to guide you, challenge you, support you, and encourage you to be your best and do your best with the right positive attitude.
